I believe that it is the Bride and Groom's day and so blend unobtrusively into the background as much as possible. Of course, when I am needed to take those guest group shots, which most people do seem to want, I am there to organise this at the forefront of it all.
I normally advise that only a few groups should be chosen from my guide if the couple concerned would like more 'documentary' natural style photography. That leaves time for the more 'fun' and 'romantic' shots they may like to make up their all important memories of the day.
